There is no satisfaction to be gained from something that comes to us without us putting in any effort. There’s a saying: Something given has no value. If the universe just handed us what we wanted we would experience a brief surge of satisfaction – only for it to be replaced by ennui a short time later. When we take action we evolve and isn’t it funny how that word contains the letters which form the word love? Let’s look at the efforts we can make that will pay love dividends in our evolution this week.

Venus who is now direct remains in orb to Pluto in Capricorn bringing love to the established order of things and working transformational magic together. They are opposing Jupiter who is still retrograde until next month in Cancer and all of them square the Moon conjunct Uranus in Aries on the 3rd. This T-Square needs to be considered alongside the day’s other transits which include the Sun in Aquarius (the sign which Uranus rules) making a fantastic aspect to Mars (Aries ruling planet) in Libra (Venus’s own sign) and squaring Saturn (ruler of Capricorn) in Scorpio (ruled by both Mars and Pluto). Hell-o. These planets could actually be talking to each other! We also see that Jupiter in Cancer trine Mercury conjunct Neptune in Pisces. We’re all being asked to question and push through set ideas here. The thing we need to understand is that we are not our beliefs, ideas and thoughts. We are energy beings. Someone else’s idea may be different to our own but when they express it this should not threaten us on any level. Without differing points of view the world would be a very boring place, we would never arrive at the truth (the Earth is flat . . .) and our minds would never open to consider new solutions. Instead of evolving we would stagnate or even regress. Imposing or trying to, our beliefs on others is also not what this is all about and certainly Jupiter opposition Pluto is calling to us to stop trying to do this.

We’re being asked to be open-minded and discover new ways of relating and acceptance of different views. A chink of light can lead to a flood of inspiration. Mercury conjunct Neptune is literally our direct line to universal wisdom and he moves retrograde on the 6th – and will remain so for the rest of the month. Aside from the usual Mercury Madness we have come to expect at these times, the message is to review and revise what we think we know and we may see themes around this emerge during this time. As we push and test out theories (which we have to in order to see if they work) we become more open minded and therefore open to more possibilities for ourselves on both a personal and collective level. In other words – we evolve. And the fabulous Cradle which also appears on the 6th is all about an idea whose time has come being born out into the collective consciousness. These ideas may be different for all of us but what distinguishes them will be that they will be radically different to what we have thought or tried previously – or should I say that we may have had the thought but lacked the courage to act on them – until now. Look to what ideas inspire you when the Grand Air Trine launches skyward on the 9th. And when it comes to someone else’s beliefs or ideas – look for common ground between yours and theirs. If their ideas and beliefs harm no one you’re now both on the same page.
