  • What is it you really value?
  • Operate out of generosity – not lack
  • Are you a lover or a fighter – or a Warrior for Love?

Our attachment to money and what we value are going to be themes this week. Now, money is energy and of itself is charged neither negatively or positively. It is not the root of all evil and as anybody who is struggling right now will tell you – it may not buy you happiness but it can buy you security and peace of mind. It is when we value money for its own sake – or put its value above other things, that we run into trouble. The eclipsed new Moon in earthy Taurus falls conjunct Mercury as well as the Sun. We may be asked to look at our values and if we are valuing our money (both on a collective and a personal level) above all else. When we understand money is energy and a reflection of our values we start to build a more healthy attitude towards it. Money buys choices so what are we choosing? Look at what money doesn’t buy to cut through any confusion. The distribution of money and who has it and who doesn’t could be hitting the headlines once again as this eclipse trines Pluto in Capricorn (the house of the establishment) and opposes Saturn in Scorpio (house of transformation and ruler of Capricorn). Banksters, the withholding or misappropriation of funding, stock market and currency fluctuations could be the result as could fear-inducing ‘Benefits Street’ type headlines.  But it’s all designed to have us looking at those values and to also understand that if our values come up for scrutiny we are not necessarily under a personal attack. Are you on the defensive over this? If so step back and maintain a universal perspective – and one that comes from the security of being able to view the world with compassion and generosity.

That’s the next message as on the 2nd we have a Double Yod when the Sun in Taurus sextiles Neptune in Pisces – there’s the compassion but both quincunx Mars in Libra which could lead to imbalance or a rush to defend something we believe is being taken from us or under attack. This could be just our (or the media’s) perception. The second Yod sees the Moon in Gemini sextile unpredictable Uranus in Aries and both quincunx Saturn in Scorpio signalling it’s time for a change. Yods contain massive transformation potential due to the meeting of very different energies but we have to be ready and willing to let this happen and we could see resistance as the Sun in Taurus opposes Saturn in Scorpio despite Jupiter in Cancer also impacting on that Sun and asking us to see the bigger picture.

Venus ruling planet of both Taurus and Libra enters Aries on the 3rd and will oppose Aries ruling planet Mars in Libra on the 4th. Are you going to continue to argue over resources or seek a solution based on fairness and love?  At its highest potential we could see the reconciliation of opposing ideals. The choice is ours. You can be a lover or a fighter. If you choose the latter make sure what you value is worth fighting for.
