  • Don’t just talk a good game – bring it!
  • Are you the Warrior or the Trickster?
  • Who – or what, are you criticising?

Welcome to a week of ideas -and hopefully sharing them. Mercury enters his own sign of Gemini on the 7th bringing with him quicksilver changes of mind and the power of words. Mercury can talk up a storm and here’s the danger – he can talk a good game but can he actually bring it? Backing up our words with appropriate actions could be a theme for all of us. Don’t just talk it – do it. Some ideas may meet resistance while others could transport us out of this world or spread love thanks to Mercury’s aspects to other planets this week. Mercury is the messenger of the Gods so what are they telling you? However – don’t forget he has another side to him – the Trickster. He’s Coyote in Native American mythology and of course Loki in Norse myths. If someone is having a laugh at your expense or pulling a ‘fast one’ it’s more likely to come to light under a Mercury retrograde but with him squaring off Neptune in Pisces and trineing that retrograde Mars if there is something you should be told on a ‘need to know basis’ – you could find out now.

With Venus in Aries making a fabulous aspect to Mercury perhaps it’s time to tell someone you care about them if you haven’t had the courage to up until now. Ask yourself what you have to lose? The Sun is in earthy and sensual Taurus and on the 9th trines the Moon in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn. We may ask ourselves why we are striving for perfection? Constructive criticism is one thing as is aiming higher, but being too critical is not only counterproductive but means we are setting unrealistic standards for ourselves as well as others. The 9th sees a Double Kite asking us to aim higher but tempered with earthly wisdom and also healing where criticism has tipped into hurtful attacks. If you feel yourself becoming critical this week step back and ask yourself who or what it is you are really criticising and whether you are telling someone else’s story – or your own.  If you watched Thor: The Dark World you may remember Loki’s mother telling him he is so perceptive about everyone except himself. There’s that Trickster again and our inner Trickster can fool ourselves. If we listen too closely and get conned by him we could miss the promise of the Cradle aspect also on the 9th which promises something gestating in our lives that is about to come into being. Don’t stop it by getting critical. With Saturn in Scorpio opposing the Sun in Taurus it’s something whose time has come and has the ability to transform.

The week would seem empty with – yes, you guessed it – another Cardinal Grand Cross. The Moon will meet Mars in Libra sign of partnerships which Venus in Aries moves to conjunct Uranus in there perhaps igniting a love revolution. Remember, critics are everywhere but not Warriors for Love.  So, don’t just talk about love, be the Love Evolutionary on some level.
