  • Be ‘at one’ with the world
  • Choose a change that involves soul growth
  • Happy birthday, Aries!

A high flying, soul stretching, fast-moving week with the Mutable signs feeling it the most. Aries birthday week brings us exciting changes and new concepts to deal with and an invitation to bring out our caring and nurturing sides. Whether we accept this invitation to step into the future and tap into a phase of positive action combined with empathy is entirely another matter however. The universe can nudge us and attempt to open our minds, but it is up to us how we respond.

Mercury and Venus both in Pisces make uneasy angles to Saturn and Mars in Sagittarius respectively. It’s all about taking the right action or releasing an old idea in preference to a new one based on what we’ve learned. This may be harder than it sounds for some. There’s a Grand Earth Trine that could see us hanging on to old ways of thinking despite the pressure to do something new on the 14th when a Mutable Grand Cross occurs just hours later triggered by the Moon’s entry to Gemini. Four of the six planets currently in Pisces form part of this aspect – Mercury, Neptune, Chiron and Ceres, Ceres is becoming increasingly important in our horoscopes and she adds the X astro gene to this line-up as events could see us having to seek solutions that not only call upon empathy and insight, but ask us to see our roles as nurturers and strong protectors but coming from the feminine perspective. The asteroids are all agents of transformation. Whereas Pluto rules transformation, this can be more painful, sudden or see us tumbling deep into the ‘underworld’. Asteroids ask us to reach for a higher, soul-actualising transformation and with Ceres, its all about doing this in a way which benefits others as well as ourselves.

As if to emphasise this, Mercury in Pisces makes an exact opposition to Jupiter in Virgo on the 15th and Pluto makes a trine to Jupiter on the 16th. Changes via how we interact with the world and also see ourselves as part of the eco-system could be on the horizon now. On a personal level individual health is linked to planetary health but the opposite could also feature- separateness. Which do you choose?

The Sun asks us to take action on our choice which we all hope is a self-and-soul sustaining one when the universal contemplation themes start to wane as he enters walk-your-talk Aries on the 20th and brings the arrival of spring (or autumn in the southern hemisphere). This will be an extremely busy year for all rams out there but it’s going to be about finishing up things rather than starting anything new until about September. This same day sees a dreamy union occur between Venus and Neptune in Pisces opening a door to increased creativity, compassion, empathy and that feeling of being ‘one’. Take that soul-affirming action this week and in doing so, benefit the whole but adding your own unique take on things. The key is in the transformation now.
