Just like I did with your fellow Mercury-ruled sign of Gemini, I am going to get the Mercury madness retro reversals out of the way at the start of this forecast, to ensure you are the retro badass of ‘26, Virgo And having got this out of the way, we can then explore all the wonder that the new year has in store for you.

This year’s first retrograde takes place during your yearly partnership cycle and across Pisces and your 7^th house. It runs from Feb 12 – the start of pre-shadow. With the full retrograde occurring from Feb 26 – March 20. Mercury will clear its post-shadow in Pisces on April 9.

During this retrograde, Mercury will encounter the North Node in Pisces not once, but three times. Feb 12, March 18 and March 23. Take it in true retrograde fashion, nothing is decided and situations can be very fluid during this time. Especially around a key relationship or double act. It’s important you avoid long term decisions relationship decisions at this point – whether to become exclusive, move in, get engaged, marry, sign that work contract, separate or divorce. To pause seeking someone new if it’s a long term, serious connection you seek. And above all, to let go and stop trying to control or influence any outcome. The presence of the Nodes (don’t forget the South Node is in your sign!), tell you to defer to a higher power.

Yes, a relationship could come full circle on some level. This Mercury retro also puts you back in eclipse weather. Again, there may be something you don’t yet know or see. 2026 will see the Nodes move from Pisces and your 7^th and your own sign, into Aquarius and your 6^th and Leo and your 12^th. Ahead of this happening we begin to see eclipse activity on the new axis. And then final eclipses on the old before the cycle closes for good.

March 3 sees a full Moon in your sign and a total lunar eclipse. It’s an emotional blind spot for you. Perhaps you have been making excuses for someone. Or else have failed to see a pattern you are repeating. This comes two weeks after the Annular Solar Eclipse in Aquarius and your house of wellbeing. How do your emotions affect your overall health? How does your relationship? Most importantly, what is the impact on you if you are denying or repressing how you feel? Does your partner if you have one, listen, validate or support your feeling state? Or do you feel you have to keep this inside?

You’ll be looking at these themes across the eclipse/retrograde and again as the approach your birthday and into your new cycle. The Nodes change signs on July 27. When Mercury is in post-shadow from its second retrograde in Cancer and your 11^th. The next eclipse is in Leo and your 12^th on Aug 12. Five days after Mercury exits its retroshade. This will be a total solar eclipse. A complete blackout in other words. In your house of hidden truths and secrets. A complete blackout in other words.

It is linked to the eclipse which took place in 2017 – which famously had Donald Trump looking at it without eye protection. If you recall what was happening back then – especially around changes in relationships, friendships and goals, or there is something which was never cleared up, closed or answered, then this eclipse will touch on that. By the time the final eclipse of the old cycle appears with a partial lunar eclipse in Pisces during your actual birthday cycle on Aug 28, you should have gained clarity and have your answer. Apply what you have learned to those unions going forward as the South Node brings in the opportunity to release and set fresh karma in motion.

There is one final Mercury retro scheduled for ‘26 – as well as a Venus retrograde. Mercury enters pre-retro on Oct 4 in Scorpio and your 3^rd. Warning: this is a Mercury ruled house in your chart. Plus it retrograde at the same time as Venus. And love planet Saturn, Uranus and partnership planet Neptune are also retrograde at the same time. This is an intense retrograde storm front of five planets. And not just your ruler but three of the planets directly or indirectly rule relationships. While Venus also rules not only your money, but your 9^th house of long distance travel, expansion, the mass media and foreign affairs of all kinds. Please put travel and certainly relationship matters on hold until at least after your ruler exits retroshade on Nov 29.

Saturn and Neptune in Aries: Purification

Now, we’re done with the retro rules, Virgo. And after a long cycle of release and re- embracing your needs in relationships that you have endured across the Saturn/Neptune transits through Pisces, let’s look at love reborn and your intimate ties as first Neptune (Jan 27), and then Saturn (Feb 14), move out of Pisces and on into Aries and your 8^th. And on Feb 20 meet in here for the first time in our lifetimes.

After a long period of shedding and purging yourself of anything that weighs you down, old issues and patterns in love and relating, and demolishing barriers you created out of protection, but which in fact keep you emotionally imprisoned, you rise like a phoenix. Pristine and purified. Sure and certain in your power and what you want. And ready to take action.

You’ll continue to devote yourself to who or what matters. But your priorities may also have shifted. If Saturn and Neptune’s transit through your 7^th released you back into the dating pool again, in Aries and your 8^th they offer up a deeper, intimate and soul shifting love experience. Jupiter in Leo: The One They Don’t See Coming

Jupiter in Leo and your 12^th is all about what is happening behind the scenes. A good metaphor for this is the crew which creates the movie magic on screen. Without them, the actors wouldn’t work and there would in fact, be no movie to watch. No, AI can’t yet do that for us.

Jupiter in your 12^th does things on the down-low. It is the big plan, goal or start-up you are quietly working away on in that backroom. It is the job where you work behind the scenes for someone else. The support role. It is also all your hidden knowledge and skills which you are utilising in some way to your advantage. Work now – success later. You may not talk about this. Or only confide in your inner circle. It is the NDA. The Official Secrets Act. The long game. The goal you keep inside until you have made it real and announce it to the world.

Uranus in Gemini: Your Way. Your Rules

Balance out those backroom plans and secret goals with getting yourself noticed or taking an idea further as Uranus moves into Gemini and your 10^th on April 26. This transit can see you redefine your path in life, your role and goals. It can bring sudden and unexpected changes around your career, your work and even your relationship status as this is the house which rules that.

Uranus brings innovation, sweeping change and even upend the status quo. You’ve worked in the same job for years – and are forced out of your position when the company is taken over or goes bust. You then land in a much better one. Which you would never have found much less been offered, unless Uranus turfed you out in the first place.

A ‘midlife crisis’ often occurs at the time of our Uranus opposition – around 42-44 years of age when Uranus will be in the sign opposite to the one it was in when we were born. It can stir up feelings of rebellion, dissatisfaction and trigger a desire to make radical changes. Almost a middle-aged version of teenage angst. Uranus is all about your individuality, and your place in the collective. In your 10^th of what is established, this is about playing by the rules – but your way.
