12th – Mercury Retrograde in Aries
13th – Grand Trine in Earth signs: Venus conjunct Jupiter in Taurus trine Pluto in Capricorn trine Mars retrograde in Virgo.
From March 12th until April 4th Mercury is retrograde (appearing to move backwards). Mercury retro has built quite a reputation for being the spanner in the works when it comes to computer glitches, travel delays and communication problems, but there’s more to Mercury than all that…
It’s actually a great time for reviewing or assessing plans and schedules, and it’s also a great time for reconnecting with people that have maybe slipped off the radar for a while, and as Mercury is in the impulsive sign of Aries, it’s likely that there’s not too much deliberation about taking action on that.
Next day (but the effects are likely to be felt days either side of this) on the 13th, there’s a beautiful planet formation called a Grand Trine. This is when 3 or more planets form a triangle in the skies; in this case the triangle is between the 3 earth signs of Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn.
Venus and Jupiter stand together in Taurus, indicating positive expansion for relationships and financial matters, as well as a general feel good factor when it comes to security and stability.
Mars, still retrograde in Virgo, is the second point on the triangle, symbolising activity that is focused on the details of a situation, and is solution orientated. As Mars is retrograde, perhaps it’s activity that has been tried before without result but now it’s time to see the benefit…
Finally, there’s Pluto in Capricorn. Wherever Pluto is, there’s the potential for a situation to evolve through emotional transformation. Pluto helps us deal with what is unknown and uncontrollable in a situation, by encouraging us to let go, stop hanging on tight with attempts to control circumstances, and instead deal with the difficult emotions that difficult situations trigger within us.
Put together, this Grand Trine symbolises a harmonious alignment of differing dynamics within a situation or issue… it indicates new growth and expansion within all kinds of relationships, as well as the ability to tie up some loose ends and let go of certain emotional elements of the past that need to be let go of in order to move on. In other words, unfinished business is dealt with.
