No forecast for the month would be complete without a reference to 21.12.2012. Doom-mongers may be disappointed to hear the apocalypse is on hold however. This does not mean to say the sky is not alight with amazing aspects all of which combine to usher us towards the solstice on the 21st which while it may not mark the End of Days, does auger us entering a new phase of consciousness and connection when it comes to our spiritual evolution.
On the 3rd, Jupiter the planet of exploration, expansion, adventure and luck will be at its closest point to Earth in Gemini. He’s fuelling the soul wake-up call to expand our minds. On the 12th, Mercury planet of messages and communication enters Jupiter’s ruling sign, Sagittarius ahead of the dynamic Uranus moving forward in Aries the following day. It’s not just the start of a cycle of soul-expansion but we may see road blocks magically removed as anything that’s been stalled makes a sudden leap forward again. It’s a time for new beginnings marked by the new Super Moon which also occurs in Sagittarius on the same day.
This all takes place against the inspirational backdrop of the Geminids meteor shower of the 13th – 14th which are now at their peak. The new Moon ensures that provided we have clear skies visibility will be at its peak. Because these meteors are formed from a trail of debris we are literally asked to discard the past to make way for the future. Debris of any kind – especially thoughts, has no place in the coming year.
Venus also enters Sagittarius on the 17th shining a light on a more expansive, universal way of loving.
On the 21st, the Sun moves into Capricorn and the winter solstice occurs in the Northern Hemisphere. Here we are at the 21.12.2012 point. Don’t wait for the 31st. This is when the New Year begins on a soul level as this marks the start of the new era. Instead look back at the 12 months and celebrate how far you’ve come and decide what you want to achieve in 2013. Follow the call to expansion.
Mars enters Aquarius on the 27th and this is all about action tempered with individuality. The key to the new cycle is being true to yourself and celebrating and tolerating differences. The Full Moon in Cancer on the 28th focuses the light on traditions – what we need to keep and honour and those which may have passed their use-by date.
The year ends with the Sun conjunct Pluto, planet of transformations in Capricorn. The message could not be any clearer. 2013 is transformation time.
