We’re in the week when the barriers between what is known and seen and what is unknown and perceived by only the senses, become permeable and transparent. So, see All Hallows Week or Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), as when the unknown is seen and heard. Through inner whispers, spooky coincidences, signs, and synchronicities that are too wickedly transparent to be written off as ‘coincidences’.
Other-worldly messages and ‘more things in heaven and earth’ happenings bridge the divide between this world and others. Be they the realm of the spirits or other dimensions in the multiverse. There’s a superfast connection between these dimensions as ourselves. Its the internet of the soul and spirit. What we can channel or download from it sets our souls dancing. In Latin cultures, especially Mexico, Dia de Los Muertos follows on from Halloween. It is traditionally celebrated across November 1-2. This is when people invite in their ancestors who have ascended to the higher realm. And welcome them in as if they are living guests. And because they are treated as fully alive (which they are energetically – always), they are open to what messages or wisdom they bring with them.
Resonant, resolute, secretive, and sensual, this week’s new Moon in Scorpio (1st) falls exactly on Dia de Los Muertos. And marks the astrological beginning of Scorpio’s new cycle, with a twist of the unexpected and the power of intuition. We may literally ‘seize’ upon something we have to pursue or cannot let go of until we have our answers. Our spidey-senses are not only tingling – but determined and also hot with accuracy. This new Moon hands us witchy wiles and magical prowess regarding what we can conjure up or our ability to channel what we need. We link to our inner power with imaginative intent. The Mars in Cancer/Pluto in Capricorn opposition (3rd), can trigger conflicts or see us acting without thought of the long term consequences. This is the first of three such oppositions which will take place due to the Mars retrograde. However, they will be across Leo/Aquarius when the next two occur, as Pluto will have quit Capricorn for good. This is a good time to stay connected to that universal and empathic outlook the new Moon wants to deliver. It should place disagreements into proper perspective when viewed against the vast backdrop of the cosmos and the grand scheme of things.
Yes, we are ‘the stuff stars are made of’ to quote Darryl Reanney. His book The Death of Forever is perfect reading for this week. And if we are stars then we need to act like it. This week also sees Venus in Sagittarius oppose Jupiter – ruling planet of Sag, in Gemini. Ideas open our minds. Or we go on a quest triggered by our desire to explore what lies beyond this world.
