Weekly General Astrology Forecast March 24th 2025

The work of the late, great philosopher Alan Watts is presently enjoying a resurgence following the above quote being used in advertisements for a certain cruise line. It seems somehow fitting to begin this week’s forecast with it as dreamers awaken with Neptune’s entry into Aries (30^th).

Watts’ philosophy also embraced the idea that the ego is a false sense of identity. It’s not the ‘true’ self. Merely a symbol or representation of the self. And again, this is very relevant as Aries is the sign which rules the ego and how we express it via our outer appearance.

It’s been 165 years since Neptune was last in Aries. This is Neptune’s first incursion in here. It will return once more to Pisces in October before exiting for good in January 2026. Consider this your taster session. And one where you can begin to dream of who you can possibly become. And what that dreamer could potentially create.

Much of Alan Watts’ thinking revolved around not allowing the past to define us. And also to step free of the trap of constantly looking to a future date when we will be ‘happy’ – rather than being happy in the present. This also dovetails with the present retrograde energies of Mercury and Venus in Pisces – sign of the past. And the big karmic reset with the North Node in here.

How we see ourselves and how others in turn see us, may be a work-in-progress which unfolds over many months. Adjustments will be made around our external packaging – our look, style, brand, appearance, wardrobe, body, face, presentation. But one which is more aligned to our true selves and not coming from a place of ego. Who we know we are deep within us, that timeless and eternal soul is what we’ll be seeking to express.

But if you face personal criticism under the partially eclipsed new Supermoon in Aries (29^th), do consider the source. Also, avoid the days immediately before and after the eclipse for making any lasting or radical image changes. You are in free flow and a work in progress still.

We will all be looking at those aspects of our past that are worth holding on to free of sentiment as Venus (27^th) and then Mercury (30^th) both encounter Neptune just prior to its move into Aries. Remember – both Mercury and Venus will meet Neptune again when they turn direct. Hence, not committing (just yet), to permanent and lasting change. This includes cosmetic surgery.

Dreamers of dreams, seekers of truth or those intent on finding or expressing their true selves, will find time spent now diving deeper into the work of Alan Watts, aids them not only in defining who they want to become, but in being able to dream what they want into being. It’s a great starting point for those of us who want to manifest dreams that are perfectly aligned with what out souls want for us. If ever there’s a week to dream something into reality – such as the real you, this is it.

In a nutshell: “And finally, you would dream … where you are now. You would dream the dream of living the life that you are actually living today.” Alan Watts reminds us that dreams of the future start with the present. Neptune’s entry into Aries happens at the time of an eclipse. It all begins with

who we believe we are.
