Your Full Moon in Scorpio Moonscope May 12th 2025

Unpredictable. Revolutionary. Shocking. Revealing. Intense. Eye opening. Topsy-turvy. Awakening. Challenging. Charismatic. Bolt from the blue. Triggering. Illusion-busting. Surprising. Electric. And the mother of all reinventions. That’s the full Moon in Scorpio this May.

The full ‘Flower’ Moon could bring booms and busts. Winners and losers. Rollercoaster rushes. With no middle ground. Scorpio is the sign which rules power money. And the Moon opposes wild card planet Uranus, in Taurus – the sign of money, materialism and values. Taurus craves stability. But Uranus is all about upheaval and upending the status quo. All in the name of evolution. It’s linked to the card of The Tower in the Tarot. We thought we were safe and secure in the highest room in the tallest one. Turns out – we weren’t. Lightning strikes, we get thrown out and hit ground zero reality with a bump.

Uranus turns things upside down. I recently saw a new design for the card of The Tower which captured this perfectly. As it literally showed the buildings turned upside down, facing earthward. A bit like in Christopher Nolan’s Inception or the Mirror Dimension in Doctor Strange. Both Taurus and Scorpio are fixed signs. This full Moon/Uranus combo asks for open-mindedness, the ability to be flexible and to embrace a new way of seeing the world. Eyes and minds wide open. Astrologer Liz Green says: If you can predict it – it’s not Uranus.

So what is this full Moon really asking of us? To let go of trying to control every aspect of our lives. Because the moment we do is when life surprises us again. If we keep that tight grip on anything from relationships to possession or our thoughts, we cut ourselves off from miracle and wonder. So, release your grip, stop hanging on and simply surrender to being surprised at just how things turn out the right way when you do.

ARIES

If you simply assume nothing is going to go quite as planned under this full Moon – it’s likely you will emerge as one of the winners under it, Aries. That willingness to pivot, go with the flow, or be open to doing something different is the key to transformation. In other words, expect the unexpected.

There’s a TV commercial running in the UK right now for hearing tests. Someone in a remote station radios for supplies. A box is parachuted in. And a clown pops out yelling ‘Surprise!’. This full Moon’s opposition to Uranus is a bit like that. You might not get what you ordered. But if you were all alone in a remote place, who’s to say some cheerful company might not be exactly what you needed? That’s Uranian thinking.

The area Uranus brings the change may surprise. And its impact may take a while to be truly appreciated. I say that because nothing is as it appears. You may be pushed to consider options you wouldn’t usually entertain. And end up in a far better position because of it. The obvious example is that lover telling you it’s over. Which seems like a disaster at the time. But two years down the track you consider it a lucky escape as you are now with someone who truly feels like the right one. Again, that’s how Uranus works. So, whatever is in a state of change under this full Moon – don’t try to stop it. This is how evolution works, Aries. And something is evolving in a way that upgrades you. Materially or deep within your soul.

TAURUS

This full Moon may feel like a crossroads for you. And one that didn’t show up on your Sat Nav, Taurus. Yet – here you are. This could involve partners – including your boss or your work spouse. Or even your career path due to angles between Mercury in your sign and Pluto in your 10^th. Not only do you find yourself in a place you didn’t expect – you may be uncertain of which direction to take now. Just understand that doing a u-turn is not an option for you. You cannot now go back.

Gripping that wheel, determinedly setting off in a set direction, is likely to see you stranded or simply encountering roadblocks and diversions. And honestly, the best option if you are uncertain of where next, is simply to admit that. You simply don’t know.

Others may be looking at a surprising choice. Again, this represents a crossroads. Do you go with what you know? Or take that road less travelled.? What you take from this depends very much on how set your expectations are. Rigid ideas around what that ‘perfect’ partner looks like. Or the form that opportunity should take. Don’t be too quick to reject something just because it doesn’t look quite how you thought it should. Had you considered it may be even better? There’s only one way to find out and that’s to try it. And trust the universe to deliver you to the right destination.

GEMINI

In Greek mythology, Urania was a muse. Back then, astrology and astronomy were one and the same thing. You couldn’t study one without the other. Urania ruled cosmology. As above, so below. As well as ruling the arts and sciences in general, Urania was also seen as ‘Heavenly Aphrodite’ (Venus) ruling all things celestial – the planets and stars. So, a very different vibe to what we associate with the planet Uranus today.

So, if you are faced with what appears to be unlooked for chaos under the full Moon in your 6^th opposition to Uranus in your 12^th, why not shift your perspective to muse-like vision instead. And leverage it to channel inspiration and fresh ideas? In fact, this is exactly what may be being asked of you. Edgy, blue sky, innovative thinking. I could also add there’s no better full Moon for you under which to study astrology. Or any cosmic subject.

Something from you past you never thought to see again could re-emerge. That person. A situation. Asking you to reach for that fresh set of tools this time around. If you’ve been walking around with the blinkers on, this full Moon will rip them off. It’s a bit like walking around in the dark and then someone suddenly switches the lights back on. You may be dazed but you are no longer deluded. That narrative you bought into is revealed in the harsh light of truth. Take note. This is as real as it gets. Especially when it comes down to how something impacts your wellbeing. Perhaps in ways you were not aware of. If this is your big reveal now, you need to take action on it. So, this full Moon can bring up a permanent reset when it comes to your priorities. And unleash that inner visionary and muse at the same time.

CANCER

Has someone been telling you a story, Cancer? The question under the full Moon in your 5^th is whether this is a work of fiction or fact. Someone can say ‘I love you’ – but their actions need to reflect this. Otherwise these are just words. So look to whether actions match the narrative. And if you feel that something is ‘off’, you may gain confirmation of this in an unexpected way.

Just take it things are being future-proofed for you under this full Moon. And if they aren’t built to last, they may suddenly upend or simply fall by the wayside. Uranus can make a clean sweep, removing what no longer serves you. Or is simply not what it appears to be. You may come to this conclusion in a surprising way. The truth has a way of getting out there. Popping up in places you weren’t looking for it. Or when you were even thinking about it.

Other surprises include identifying once and for all what is stopping you from reaching your goals. I could say under Uranus’s influence – it’s not what you think, Cancer. You may be struck with a realization that you’ve been creating barriers. Or simply running contradictory messages in your head. No matter what it is, removing it plugs you straight into the flow of manifestation Uranus has been attempting to direct right to your doorstep. Are you bowing to social pressure? Unduly influenced in the wrong way? Bending yourself out of shape to ‘fit in’? Or sticking to old goals which no longer inspire your soul? All of these things will block what you truly need from getting to you.

Also keep in mind just how the universal delivery system works. And yes, it IS just like Amazon. You order. An actual human being turns up with it. People are the conduit of miracles in other words. The surprising element of this full Moon in your house of romance, pleasure, attraction and joy is just who may appear who acts in this role. And the surprising ways you may encounter them. Also – the more open you are socially now, the more charged the process becomes. Accept that last minute invite. Meeting people from different walks of life. And the same goes for love for single. LEO

It’s all about alternative lifestyles. Or even alternative ways of loving under this full Moon. This may well be one of the most emotionally intense full Moons of the year. Stirring up hidden emotions, deep longings and needs, Leo. Keep in mind Uranus, which the full Moon opposes in your 10^th, is your love planet. It wants freedom and authenticity for you. In the areas which fundamentally matter.

The freedom to be yourself is the greatest homecoming experience we can have. And when we are surrounded by people who love and accept us for who we are, that simply adds to our feeling of being secure, supported and seen. If you are not receiving this, what’s the alternative? Are you sustaining something because shaking things up and either asking for it or going in search of it scares you? Or is going without this – forever, now even more scary?

On the same day as the full Moon, we also have Mercury in your 10^th face off against Pluto now in Aquarius and your 7^th. From a path that no longer feeds your soul to living somewhere you feel out-of-place, to ‘settling’ for less, the depth of your feelings around this may act like a rip tide. Sweeping you up and depositing you on a strange new shore. The fixed signs will feel this more than any other sign. And what doesn’t feed your real needs may also be swept aside.

It doesn’t meant that its not what you were hoping to hear. You just may not think you would. Perhaps you thought you weren’t the most qualified or at your best at that job interview. Then you hear you’ve got it. Something may set to astound you. But do take it that Uranian slips uttered under this full Moon are the unedited truth. Someone may inadvertently reveal their true agenda or feelings. And once out there, it can’t be taken back. And if this is what you hear, don’t ignore it.

The Moon is in your 3^rd of communication, conversations commerce and the Internet. Steer clear of clickbait. Sites like Scambusters are your friend. And don’t believe every post you read. If you are the one keeping something to yourself, afraid to utter the truth, it may be your slip under this emotional Moon/Uranus opposition. Your emotional soul demands to be heard. And try as you might, those words are past the lips and hanging in the air before your inner editor is ready with the redacting marker. What do we say? The truth will set you free. Uranus is only concerned with that this full Moon. Say it anyway, Virgo.

LIBRA

It’s not just the fact that this full Moon/Uranus opposition is in the signs which rule money. For you, this will feel more intense because both are in your money houses. The Moon is in your 2^nd of personal income, possessions and values. Uranus in your 8^th of big money, grabs and gains and joint financial dealings. So, take it that there will be winners and grinners with some looking at unexpected gains. While others may have to get creative with how they use their available assets on the Money-go-Round.

Something unexpected may take priority such as an unexpected bill or expense. And yes, this includes being able to shell out on that thing you have wanted for a while. It may drop within reach in a surprising way. You may make an outlandish offer for instance. And are gob-smacked when it is accepted. That’s the way Uranus works. It certainly is aiming at financial freedom.

And also freedom from those old narratives about money. You know the ones I mean, Libra. The ones you keep locked in that vault. The sum of those fears around receiving and deservedness. Or just airing the truth about your personal financial situation. If you are in receipt of a windfall, bonus or payout, do use this to pay off debts and free yourself that way.

Independence is another Uranian theme. Being self-sufficient. Working your worth. And also gaining your independence from any kind of emotional servitude under this full Moon. Coercive control, financial manipulation and feeling you are dependent on someone else for your survival. Either financially, emotionally or both. Something may be let go of in order for you to gain. Don’t pay any more into the Sunk Cost Fallacy. That’s when we continue to invest in something that is clearly no longer to our advantage when simply abandoning it would leave us better off. If this applies – you already know what this is. And this is your Moon under which to reconcile yourself with that.

SCORPIO

This is one of the most powerful full Moons you will have experienced for some time, Scorpio. The kind of intensity that we would normally associated with a lunar eclipse in fact. So what do we say during at eclipse? That things are not clear and you need to wait until the eclipse shadows pass. It’s a good rule to follow under this full Moon/Uranus opposition.

First, the energy of this eclipse is so intense it will continue to be felt for days afterwards. Second – nothing is a given with Uranus. You don’t judge the book by its cover. Or try to control what is happening. That’s a bit like trying to capture lightning in a bottle. Or control the cosmos. Just think about that for a moment. Seeing how big the universe is – just how successful do you imagine you’re going to be?

This may present a challenge. Especially for the fixed signs who will feel the effects of this full Moon more intensely than others. Resistance is futile. If caught up by unexpected events outside of your control, you simply have to let go. Uranus rules storms. Some of you may literally be where one is happening at this time. Others may feel a lot like Dorothy, caught up in a whirlwind. When it stops – you’re not in Kansas any more.

Partners may be dealing with their own maelstrom. And you may find yourself in the role of ever fixed mark they need. Others may experience a sudden and unexpected change around their relationship status. Going from single to sorted. Or settled to set free again. Love has its own plan and path mapped out for you. Whatever you do, Scorpio, don’t be tempted to course correct.

SAGITTARIUS

Sometimes we don’t know what we need until well, we see it. Then we go: That’s what I was looking for all along! That missing piece of the puzzle. Be it insight or whatever fills that indefinable space of longing in our lives. Prepare to be surprised at what this is or where it can be found under the full Moon in your house of secrets and hidden truths.

Intuition is amplified. And what changes now could upend plans but open up a better version of your future than you imagined existed. It calls for openness. And a willingness to leave the past behind you. Including past choices and thinking.

However, you may find yourself re-processing past memories. Which can return with fresh intensity. But if so, you will reframe them in the light of a fresh perspective thanks to the Moon’s opposition to Uranus in your 6^th. For this reason, don’t judge yourself too harshly. Hindsight is always 20/20. Letting go of judgement – including judging others, will be what sets you free. No, if you’re not ready to forgive, that’s optional. And nobody is suggesting you forget either. Simply remove any need to blame or judge. It’s surprising how liberated and at peace you’ll feel if you can.

One word of warning: This full Moon can sometimes see someone from your past reappear. Do think very carefully about getting re-involved if they do. Do you want to repeat the past? Or do you want the future to be very different? Remember, Uranus will enter Gemini and your 7^th shortly. And if you keep doing what you’ve always done, you guarantee the same outcome each time. Sometimes people come back in just so we can see how much we have grown and changed. While they haven’t. This could be just one more revelation. So keep saying no to stagnation and yes to growth, Sag.

CAPRICORN

Thinking that life is a party to which everyone else got invited while you stay home or take care of business, keeps you away from all that life wants to give you, Cappy. And no, it’s not like your High School Prom. You don’t need a date to go participate. The full Moon in your 11^th offers up unexpected opportunities to mix and mingle. But you need to make the effort to go join in.

If no one is offering up an invitation, consider extending one of your own. But if something spur of the moment lands, then follow curiosity and a desire for more meaningful connections. Not the one that exists between you, your couch and Netflix. Your couch and Netflix are old friends. They can do without you for one night.

That social sphere needs its orbit extended. The full Moon opposes Uranus in your 5^th offering up strange new worlds and electrifying, unique individuals who inhabit them. Try that new venue, club, group or organisation. How good are you at striking up conversations with strangers? I’m not talking about pick-up lines – although of course, Uranus is in your house of flirtation and romance. Just engaging on a social level. Although some people are naturally out going and inquisitive, for others this can be more difficult. But like anything, this is a skill you can acquire. It just takes practice. Yes, there will always be someone who isn’t receptive to your overtures. But their reasons may have nothing to do with you. Keep this in mind and just move on.

New social acquisitions aside, there may be one which you realise no longer holds the same resonance it once did. Finding out that while you still imagine you are besties, the other party has demoted you to ‘fringe friend’ for instance. If this is the case please don’t try to keep it going in its old form. Be willing to release it and move on. And keep in mind that sometimes letting go allows it to come back in again in a more evolved form. The same goes for romance, Cappy. Time to move on and discover where the new party is happening instead.

AQUARIUS

Work your ruler like a boss. In other words – you rule, Aquarius. The full Moon in your status defining 10^th opposes ruler Uranus in your 4^th. Telling you that the only true rulership you ever have is over your own responses. No, that doesn’t mean you don’t feel all the feels. Just that you are choosing your responses to what gets stirred up. Which may be unexpected or unanticipated. After all, nobody knows better how Uranus operates than you.

Self control is the key here. The Moon is in Scorpio. Sign of control. You can transform a situation simply by choosing to transform your reactions towards it. You may be called on to act as the observer rather than getting drawn into drama. Especially if this is something emotive which has others triggered. You may even take the position that someone needs to keep their $*&! together if everyone else is losing theirs. And that would be you.

Of course your ability to keep your cool in a hot zone could earn you kudos and approval. This is a full Moon which can put you in the spotlight. But you may not be aware at the time you are being observed. Surprise rewards and recognition could show you that what you have been doing to date has not gone unnoticed. And if you are faced with stepping up and taking on more responsibility – take it you are ready for that too.

Changes could side-swipe you on the home front or even with a family matter. Or partner may be facing their own challenges at work. If so, you got that too. If faced with something suddenly ending, you’ll know deep down its been the Walking Dead for a while. Simply bowing to the inevitability of change – that’s a CEO move too.

PISCES

A confining situation may suddenly end. Releasing you into something freeing. But also scarily exciting too. Let’s face it, Pisces – you’ve faced more than your fair share of restrictions and uncertainties these past few years. And if you are suddenly faced with heading out into the unknown – it’s a release and a relief all at the same time. Even if you aren’t yet certain of where you are headed next.

If there’s chaos and confusion happening around you, step back and consider that despite appearances to the contrary, it has a purpose and a meaning behind it. Right now you are facing new beginnings in more than one life area. So take it that anything that’s happening is merely clearing the way for these to happen. Uranus in your 3^rd opposing the full Moon in your 9^th can bring unexpected news or events.
