When Jupiter first arrived in Cancer, there was much talk amongst astrologers about ‘The Luckiest Day of the Year’. June 24 brought us a Sun/Jupiter cazimi – when the Sun and Jupiter met in Cancer for the first time in 12 years. The question remaining for many of us is however: Was it good for you?

If that particular cosmic event turned out to be underwhelming despite the hype, this week’s Venus/Jupiter meeting in Cancer (12^th) may live up to its promise. The sky is bright with positive aspects this week. We have Mercury escaping retrograde in Leo on the 11^th. Yes, it still has its post-shade to clear but we will all now feel stagnation, stasis and delays begin to dissipate. Mercury gathering speed means it will be in orb of Mars now in Libra for a three day period. We can all use this to kick start our projects and plans. And amp up our aura of daring, attraction and charisma!

There’s also an escape route away from the old ways of doing things on offer. Innovation strikes us on the 12^th when Saturn in Aries charges up Uranus now in Gemini. New ideas flood in. Restrictions are lifted. Especially around our own thinking. We instigate boldly, initiate with invention and strike out! No more set in stone mindsets.

This places us in a position where we can make the most of yet another ‘lucky’ day. This is the first time Venus and Jupiter have met in Cancer since 2002! Check your own chart for aspects at 14 degrees of any sign. Within a 1-2 degree orb. But especially in the water signs – Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. If we want to activate and attract ‘luck’ into our lives – aka synchronicity and/or coincidence, then we have to be prepared to do something beautifully different. To take a chance. So, if the last ‘lucky’ day left you wanting and waiting, meet this one with a fresh state of mind. Dare to try, explore or do something you have never done before. Push yourself past your limits and thinking. They who dare don’t just win – they attract.

In a nutshell: If June’s much-hyped ‘Luckiest Day of the Year’ left you feeling underwhelmed, then the meeting between Venus and Jupiter in Cancer this week could bring you startling, sparkling results. Luck happens when we dare to do different.
