Your New Black Moon in Virgo Eclipse Moonscope September 21st 2025

The eclipsed full Moon in Pisces two weeks ago was all about the release. The plunge into subconscious watery soul depths. The deep let go.

‘As above, so below’ – is often used in astrology to illustrate the link between the stars and what happens in our lives. But under the new ‘Black’ moon and partial solar eclipse in Virgo, ‘As below, so above’ is a good metaphor and guide to decode the intense and potentially game changing energy it embodies.

If you have not already read or seen your monthly or weekly videos which also deal with this eclipse, the term ‘Black’ moon has nothing to do with an eclipse. It is the term applied to the rare and special second new moon to appear in a sign during its solar cycle. Something that can only happen once every 29 months. And then in a different sign due to the shift on the nodal axis.

New moons always mark a time of fresh starts and new beginnings. But it’s rare we get a second chance to begin again. And in a specific area. Which is what a ‘Black’ moon offers up. The eclipse opposes Saturn in Pisces. This is also a reality check. Eclipses come in pairs. So, two weeks ago we experienced the total lunar eclipse in Pisces. Which resulted in our deep dive. With this solar eclipse, we now get to make the connection between what we discovered (below), the release of it. And then the effect of this on our outer lives (above). This is how the pairing works. It may be that we have yet to release. But if so, what this now needs to be will be apparent from its intense emotional pull on us. We have to release to come up for air.

Virgo is what I like to call the ‘Blue Zone’ sign. We get so hung up on Virgo’s attention to detail, devotion and love of perfection, we can forget Virgo’s link to the world of nature. In the Northern Hemisphere, Virgo season is harvest time. In the Southern, planting. We are not apart from nature, even if we live in an urban environment. We are part of it. ‘As below, so above’ is very Blue Zone. What we do, eat and how we interact with our environment and those we share it with, affects our wellbeing and way of being in the world. As evidenced by those who live in blue zones. So, think of this new Moon and eclipse as more blue than black. It’s a second time around opportunity to enter your zone.

ARIES

Come home to your body under this new Moon and eclipse, Aries. And so pay close attention to not only what it is saying to you, but what you fuel it with, surround it with and what you do with it. Understand that all of the outer is in fact a reflection of the inner. The state of your everyday environment is the black mirror of the internal you.

Is there something your body is telling you that you are tuning out, ignoring, disowning or neglecting? What about what you surround yourself with each and everyday? Virgo and your 6^th house rules everyday environments. Your home and workplace. Is it cramped, cluttered or chaotic? Lacking peace or order? Stressful or makes you feel out-of-sorts?
