Where’s the sweet spot or golden compromise this week? Do we want things all our own way? Or where is there wiggle room or alternatively, how can we create a win/win?

Neptune steals into Aries on the 26^th. This time – its back for good and will remain in here until 2039. This is about self-directed purpose aligned with higher good. And intuitive action aimed at creating the best possible outcome. We become warriors for our own truth. But this doesn’t mean we should act solely out of self-interest. We need to unleash the visionary within us and stay connected to that clarity. But also factor in the feelings of others or their wishes too.

Contrasted to Neptune’s dreamy, spiritual idealism in the sign of personal drive and identity, we have the explosive energy release of the Mars/Pluto conjunction in Aquarius – sign of the collective, the very next day. This is raw, primordial energy unleashed. Limitless and powerful like a nuclear reactor coming on-line. It can power up radical changes within the collective – even revolutionary ones. And even if we are not caught up in them personally – the effects of them ripple out and impact us in unexpected ways. This conjunction can highlight controls or just who is pulling those levers. It’s not use telling people to ignore that man behind the curtain as hidden power dynamics or agendas are exposed.

That’s the collective part. On an individual basis we may access bottomless inner resources to direct into self-improvement or our goals. But when it comes to the latter – if they involve another party, we need to be very clear on what we simply won’t compromise over. And at the same time be willing to work and discover where we can create something which works for both parties on that middle ground. The place the great spiritual Sufi poet Rumi talked about. So be open to meeting there.

The meeting between Mercury and Venus in Aquarius on the 29^th gets the conversation started. While the wondrous full Moon in glowing Leo opens us up to simply focussing on love and what we share and have in common. Rather than what we don’t.

This full Moon trines Ceres in Aries and appears at 13 degrees of Leo. The Sabian Symbol for 13 Leo is ‘An old sea captain rocking in his chair’. Combined with Ceres – the dwarf planet which rules the art of compromise, what does this tell us? That we will wisely and gently call on our past experiences – and these can include recent experiences too, and use these to bring about a solution that allows both or all parties, to get what they need.

In mythology, Ceres laid the world to waste after the abduction of her daughter Prosperina by Pluto. Neither Pluto nor Ceres were going to get things all their own way. And it took intervention by Jupiter to bring about the solution that both parties could live with. Proserpina would spend six months of the year with her mother. The other six with her husband. Now, this story told told from our 21^st Cent perspective highlights the fact that the third party was not consulted about any of this. Nobody seems to have asked Proserpina what she wanted. Which is why this may not be about a two fold solution. Our wise inner navigator may need to incorporate the wishes of more.

Nobody gets things 100% their way all the time. Especially if what we also seek is connection. But this week shows us the Art of the Deal. And hands us the sheer transformational power of spiritual perspective to bring it about. So meet in that middle ground. It’s a field of dreams.

In a nutshell: Crafting that win/win or compromise calls on us to look not just at what we want – but what the other party needs. You can only do that from a higher perspective. Which Neptune’s return to Aries along with a generous full Moon in Leo, hands us.
