We’re back in eclipse weather this March with a total lunar eclipse in Virgo (3rd). This full Moon is known as the Plough or Lentern Moon. The time when crops for the coming year are planted. It’s the full Moon before Lent and the Spring Equinox which takes place on March 20 when the Sun moves into Aries.
This is a total lunar eclipse. So, a total cover up when it comes to an emotional truth which has been planted. However, the Moon makes a revealing angle to Jupiter in the Moon’s ruling sign of Cancer. What we cannot yet see isn’t necessarily anything negative. We may need to simply watch and wait to see exactly what emerges from the seeds that have been planted. What has taken root in the dark. Keep in mind we are in retrograde weather – Mercury is backwards in Pisces and going back and forth across the North Node as it does so. Its calling on us to be patient and not to expect either overnight results. Or instant revelations.
Do watch – Washington DC under this eclipse. This is a Virgo ruled city. As is 16000 Pennsylvania Avenue and all who are under its roof. Incidentally, numerologically this is a Neptune ruled address. The area in Washington between the White House and Georgetown where many government buildings are located is called Foggy Bottom. You don’t get more Neptunian than that. Neptune rules Pisces – Virgo’s opposite sign. If we have a lunar eclipse in Virgo, the earth is between the Sun (in Pisces), and the Moon, with the earth’s shadow covering the moon. Which is why it will be important for both Virgo and Pisces. As well as the other Mutable signs – Gemini and Sagittarius in particular. Look for events which impact on geopolitics as well as US domestic ones. As well as news coming out of Washington in particular. Especially with Virgo’s ruling planet Mercury retrograde. Redactions unredacted are just one possibility.
Neptune is now in Aries – where Venus arrives ahead of the Sun on the 6th. By the time the Sun lands on the 20th – at the key zero degree of Aries we have been talking about, this creates a massive fire-starting five factor stellium – Sun, Venus, Saturn, Neptune and Chiron. As Venus, the Sun and then other planets enter Aries, they engage with Saturn and Neptune – handing all of us a fresh sense of self-determination. We feel the impulsion to act, to set something in motion. To be brave, bold and fearless when it comes to initiating something for ourselves.
Brave-hearted and courageous Aries – your year ahead will bring you changes around your work, your siblings or neighbourhood, travel, how you communicate, your apps and devices and your online profile. You also have the Summer of Love. A hedonistic, heart-starting year long Coachella of the spirit when Jupiter moves into Leo and your love zone mid year. Decide just who you will be. And become the person you have dreamed of being.
Whispering softly in the background against all this braggadocious Aries energy, is the subtle and secretive new Moon in Pisces (19th). Its gentle spiritual intentions and creative musings, soften those impulses. Giving us much needed pause before we act. So that when we do, we are coming from a place of higher good. The Aries weather is all about our identity. Combining the desire to be who we know ourselves to be, along with the inspiration and spiritual integrity of this Pisces new moon – this says everything we need to say about who we are and where we’re coming from. It’s the very essence of being truly human. In the here and now.
In a nutshell: Inspiration meets integrity this month. We’re willing to act and initiate. But our actions also say everything we need them to when it comes to our identity too. What we say and do determines who we are. That’s the essence of being human. And of being Aries!
