Taureans often have the Midas touch and usually budgeting is no problem for them. They excel at planning ahead and taking carefully considered steps forward without taking too much risk. However, don’t get so fixated on your long term financial goals that you neglect to budget for enjoying yourself in the here and now. I once knew a Taurus who worked three jobs and had in typical Taurus style, made some careful investments in property. His plan was to keep working and put all his money into paying off the mortgages on his rented properties and then when he was 50 stop work and retire on the proceeds. In the interim he took no holidays, spent almost nothing on himself and drove a second hand car. At 49 he suffered a fatal heart attack at his desk which might have been avoided had he taken some time out to relax – or at least visit his doctor.

Cautionary tales aside, open that current spending account and every month allow yourself a budget for fun and indulgence. Your ruler Venus will approve and you know you have the self-discipline not to go overboard.

If you are born under this sign, money is always going to be there for you, so whatever you do, stop worrying about it. Above all – practice a sense of detachment to your money and possessions. You are far more than your bank account or what you own. From time to time, practice giving things away to people.
