The new ‘Black’ Moon rises at 9 degrees of Capricorn. A ‘Black’ Moon is nothing sinister. On the contrary,  this will hand all of us, but especially the Earth signs, a big new beginning and turning point. The closer your personal chart factors to 9^o, the bigger the renewal. So,, do check your chart for anything within 8-10 degrees. This includes your ascendant/descendant, IC and MC, nodes and asteroids as well as the planets.

A ‘Black’ Moon is the second of two new moons to appear either within a calendar month. Or during the Sun’s transit of a sign. December handed us a new Moon in Sagittarius at the start of the month. And now a second one with the Sun in Capricorn.

This is the first new Moon to grace Capricorn since 2008 free of Pluto’s influence. This is what makes this energy so ripe with renewal and fresh starts. It’s a clean slate to begin anew. Free of influences of the past. A point of rebirth and re-emergence. And one which puts us in charge of authoring our path from this point onwards.
