Courage, action-aforethought, the ability to go the distance, create something lasting, commitment, having a strategy, ownership and accountability – all Saturn in Aries signatures. Saturn is associated with restriction. But honestly – that’s not the case. When Saturn rewards, its blessings can surpass even those of Jupiter. But in order to receive these, we have to play by Saturn’s rules.Saturn is the ruling planet of Capricorn. And the ancient ruler of Aquarius. Capricorn’s symbol is that of the goat. The agile climber who finds a way to the top that others may not see. Aquarius, the water bearer, is the only zodiac sign to be represented by a human form. Although it is represented by water and its name literally translated from the Latin is ‘water bearer’, it is an air sign. Symbolically, this reveals Aquarius’ links to communities and humanitarian outlook. Water was necessary and shared for communities to thrive and function. Think Roman plumbing and aqueducts. With Saturn now making its first incursion into Aries for 29 years – the last time it visited was 1996-1999, we will be called on to leverage our resources and channel them into bold, well-thought out actions. Neptune in the mix at the same time as Saturn will lend us the inspiration. Saturn provides the practical steps. We will also need to work within a framework or structure in order to get the results we want. Now, there is a certain leeway with this. As these can be crafted to our individual goals. But once set, we need to stick to them. Saturn calls on us to work in a structured fashion. We will also be asked to take accountability for what we do. And yes, the upside of that is claiming our rewards.

Think of yourself as CEO of You! And serve your best version of you. How we are seen, our image and reputation will be a factor. And because of the links to those at the top and the community, who we come into contact with and our willingness to be a team player and contribute, could be the determining factor in what we set out to achieve. Saturn in Aries tells you – know when to play by someone else’s rules. And when you can play by your own. It’s important to strike that balance between self-assertion and knowing when to take a back seat.
