Your Full Moon in Capricorn Moonscope July 10th 2025
July’s full Moon is known as the Buck Moon. This is when stags begin to regrow their antlers for the upcoming mating season. And we have the full Moon in the sign of Capricorn – the goat and another animal with horns. Although they do not shed them. Agile, adept and able to find their way to the top on paths that are invisible to others, Capricorn’s totem animal knows how to play the long game. And that’s what we are playing under this full Moon.
The full Moon is at 18 degrees of Capricorn. So the Sun is at 18 Cancer. In the mix here – Mars in Virgo. At 13 degrees. And Mercury in Leo also at 13 degrees – and about to become retro-active. There’s a lot in orb of this full Moon. And while it may not be the most powerful lunation of the year, the long game is in motion as due to the retro-flux, things may be undecided or go back and forth for a bit. We may all as a result, have to pick out a different path. Especially around home, family, children, property matters, career, studies and work.
Do check your personal chart for anything in orb of this full Moon. Within five degrees. If you have any factors at all – in any sign, including nodes, ascendant/descendant, asteroids etc, you will feel the energy building up to three days ahead of the full Moon. Take note of what sign these fall in. And you may want to read the forecast for that sign too.
ARIES
With ruler Mars in the mix with this full Moon, it may be time to set some limits. And yes, maybe with yourself, go getter! It’s certainly not time to rush or lean in to your natural invincibility! Even superheroes have their limits, Aries. And something may occur around this full Moon which shows you that you may have reached yours. Such as simply taking on too much, not knowing when to say no or no more. Delegating to others (this includes family members, those you live with or even getting your children to do their share of chores), taking time out to reflect and recharge, and simply assessing whether or not you are fully present with what you are doing. Or simply as Bilbo Baggins put it ‘Like butter scraped over too much bread’. If you do this and shed what is no longer a soul goal, HUGE success is coming.
Above all, do not rush. Anything. That short cut or false feeling that you can simply rush crush that To Do list could end with you simply creating more to do. And end in frustration. Keep in mind this is the long game. And this may call on you to make adjustments or even insist on others doing their fair share so you can put your energy where it needs to be. By all means accept more responsibility or an opportunity to take the lead. But ensure others do their part. You may pivot in the coming two weeks as you adjust your thinking and pick out a new path which takes you further towards that main goal or ambition. What can I say, Aries? Pace yourself. You’re in training for success.
TAURUS
Where do you want to go next, Taurus? What do you yearn to see, explore or be a part of? First look how far you have come these past seven years. How has your life changed? Your appearance? Your relationships? And your relationship to yourself? Your entire being in other words. And being in the world and seeing yourself as part of the immense puzzle that is life itself is the bigger picture you need to embrace under the full Moon in your 9th.
Have you fallen into the trap of simply thinking too small? Playing it too safe? And is this out of self-protection? From what, exactly? The world? Other people? Fear of rejection of either yourself or your ideas? You can be in a relationship and feel entirely alone in the world. Or you can have a miraculous and marvellous vision of what you want to do, but remain within the safety of the dream rather than take a chance to live it for real. If so, it is time to emerge under this full Moon. The first one to appear since Uranus left your sign. Feel the energy change, Taurus? That’s the world knocking at your door. It is filled with opportunity. It wants you to rejoin the human race. At your own pace of course. But bold moves are called for. And you need to make them. Or at least take that key first step. Which simply may be sharing that vision with others rather than continuing to keep it to yourself.
‘People who need people are the luckiest people in the world’. So sang Barbra Streisand. There’s freedom on offer now. And it comes via people. Your partner, your boss, friends, contacts, colleagues. That job opportunity you just saw. That trip you take. Don’t deny yourself a bigger slice of life by hiding out in that ivory tower of dreams, Taurus. Showcase those ideas. Or simply you. You need people. And what the world needs now is you, sweet you.
GEMINI
Reality bites when it comes to changes that need to be embraced under this full Moon in your transformational 8th house. This is the first full Moon with Uranus in your sign and it heralds the call to wake up and smell the coffee. There’s no escaping this. Denial is a No Entry zone from this point on.
Keep in mind that unless something changes, things cannot improve. And suspend your judgement or even your fear. It is change only. Sometimes change begins with us simply admitting to ourselves this needs to occur. Or as in storytelling – what is known as the second act denouement. The moment the main protagonist realises: Things must change – and I must change them. This applies to any story from a book to a play to a film. The character arc. And also when that character steps into their power. And that’s you under this full Moon, Gemini.
Dance in the vortex of your own awakening. You’re ready for this. And in doing so, this opens you up to be ready for something better! Yes, for some this may involve letting something go. Others accept something soul stretching on offer. Taking that relationship to the next level, that new job or promotion. That loan or offer. That bigger financial responsibility. That move onwards. Feels powerful, doesn’t it? Accept that you are up for the challenge of change. It’s the first of many.
CANCER
All lunations are important for you as the Moon is your ruler. Full Moons beam their light into the sign opposite to the one they are in. So, take it you are in the spotlight under the full Moon in your 7th. And look who is shining it in your direction as this is your house of partners.
An important and decisive conversation could take place between you and your significant other, your boss, your business partner, your BFF or even that potential one, due to the Moon’s alliance with Mars in your 3rd. What’s the future for the two of you? Where do you go from here? Remember this conversation takes place with Jupiter in your sign overseeing discussions. It wants what’s best for you.
This can be an emerging union rather than an existing one. If so, it’s laden with potential. Consider what or rather who, is on offer, seriously. If you have Cancer factors in orb of 18 degrees, you are looking at longevity and how this person fits in to your future path. If you are interviewing for a job in the run up to this full Moon, do remember interviewing is a two-way process. Ask the right questions. The job has to be right for you, not just you being right for them.
The same goes for dating for singles. No, we don’t want the other party to feel as if this is a job interview. But on the other hand you are interviewing for the position of most important person in your life. You can make the questions playful. But on-point.
And yes, even settled, heart-to-hearts make love blossom anew. We can end up together but also as ships that pass in the night as other areas of life jostle for priority. Take time out under this full Moon to discover what’s really going on with someone close to you. And in doing so, you’ll not only gain more insight into their needs. But your own too. Love is a journey of many peaks you reach together. This just happens to be one of them.
LEO
The position of your ruler the Sun is always of prime importance in any lunation. It’s either conjunct the Moon at the time of a new moon. Or in opposition to it at a full Moon. The full Moon is in Capricorn and your 6th which places your ruler in Cancer and your 12th. Of the past, what you don’t yet know, of intuition, your gut feeling, your connection to the great All That Is (no matter the name you give it), of hidden enemies and the truth. Call this a point of extra illumination. Where your gut cannot and should not be ignored.
So, what’s it telling you, Leo? This is the first full Moon to appear since Uranus (ruler of awakenings and surprises), crashed into Gemini and your 11th of friends and the future. And it appears as Mercury is slowing down in your own sign in preparation for a full reverse next week. What needs your attention? What are you ignoring? Perhaps dismissing as unimportant. When it fact it’s a very big deal.
Do not dismiss either your emotional reaction or what is happening in your body right now. Look at it this way – the human body is 78%. The Moon pulls the oceans around. So, it does the same with our physical form. That tidal tug, that upswelling of feeling – bringing something to the surface that demands we deal with it rather than simply getting washed back out to sea. If you need to talk to someone outside your situation – a professional for instance, this full Moon connects you to the right person.
You are right in the middle of your cycle of release or emotional shedding that precedes your new cycle each year. It’s important to face this head on, especially if something is having a profound impact on your Holy Trinity of Mind/Body/Spirit. With this full Moon making a highly positive angle to Mars in your 2nd, you have the courage to face this. And also make choices around what supports or remains worthy of you. And yes, Leo. It truly is okay to feel whatever it is your feel now.
VIRGO
Mars in your sign boosts the full Moon in your pleasure centre. It’s your house of whatever or whoever makes your heart beat faster. Happy days, holidays and hobbies. Lovers and children. Lucky breaks. That thing you do effortlessly that dials up your vibration. Gets you noticed. Being in the flow, two hearts beating as one, attraction and synchronicity.
Stop for a moment and imagine you achieved all you wanted in terms of worldly success. Fame, that lottery jackpot, a million followers, your face on the cover of Fortune/Hello!/Fast Company/Rolling Stone magazine – or all of them. Now imagine that you had no-one to share that with. That you are all alone. Kind of takes the lustre off that walk of fame, huh? In fact, success would feel pretty lonely and empty at that point. A hollow victory.
So right now under this full Moon is who is around you to moondance with. Who simply adds to, and enhances your joy. There’s a bit of ‘Love the one you’re with’ sixties refrain happening with this moon if you are a seeking singleton. As in seeing your family, friends, children and whoever surrounds you as dance partners. And yes, as this is your house of attraction, we always attract more of what we already have when we express joyful gratitude for it. Seeing you surrounded by love brings more love into your life.
Keep in mind if off seeking pleasure elsewhere – as in travelling, ruler Mercury is in retroshade in Leo and your 12th. This however also favours reconnecting with old pastimes, places and people who sparked that joy in the past. If you are seeking to attract anything or anyone – from opportunities, to friends or a lover, leave the ‘Desperately’ well out of it. This isn’t your house of desperation but of easy come, easy flow. If you’re looking for the love of your life – be this a person, a career or even somewhere you want to be, love the life and people you already have. The rest is easy.
LIBRA
When does what shelters you become well – a comfort zone, Libra? And that term sounds cosy. But it’s not. It’s where you and your dreams snuggle under that blanket and then die a slow death. The full Moon is in what is the Moon’s ruling house in your chart – your 4th house. It angles to Mars in your 12th. And then there’s Uranus. Now in Gemini and your house of freedom. What this says is don’t get too comfortable. Or better yet, admit what isn’t working for you. Especially in terms of home, lifestyle and work. And perhaps shake yourself free of it.
If you are honest, you already know something isn’t working or needs to change. The cosmos may bring you a wake-up call around this. It is important for all Libras to check their charts for anything in orb of this Moon. If they are there, the full Moon squares them. Indicating you will be propelled out of your comfort zone and on into something that makes you feel fully alive again. And into something freeing. Inaction or that blanket fort is no longer an option. And be honest, Libra. Nothing new happens there anyway.
Some of you may be looking at a literal move. Of home, work or premises. What crystallises over the next two weeks will show you the direction or place you are headed towards next. And with it comes a sense of relief. Let’s face it – something has been lived out for you. And its continuance was stunting your growth and draining your soul. Time to renew and begin again. And where you’re going – you don’t need a blanket.
SCORPIO
Yaketty yak. Yada yada yada. We have all met – or rather heard, those people who talk a good game. But never actually bring it. From the co-worker who brags about their big plans – and who is still there doing the same job five years later – all the way to that lover who breadcrumbs us with what they intend to do for us. But can’t be bothered to show up for a date on time. I could go on and on. Talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words under this full Moon in your house of communication.
But this goes for your brilliant ideas too, Scorpio. Those projects and plans. Whether they touch on traditional forms of media and business. Or are simply centered around the internet. Or boil down to as basic as updating your CV and applying for a new position. Are you talking or doing? Or are you over-working that prime idea to the point it’s over-served and has lost all its originality and zestiness? Maybe because deep down inside you don’t fear it tanking. You’re scared it will succeed.
Look to where you are talking or planning but not acting. And yes, if there are tweaks and fine tuning required when it comes to projects and plans, the upcoming Mercury retrograde allows for this. But other than that – no more talk. Or putting off that talk if that is another element that needs to happen. As the Sun and Moon are across both houses of not just communication, but travel – even short trips, do allow for retro chaos, delays, cancellations and confusion. But that’s out of your hands, Scorpio. As far as what you say or those ideas – stop talking. Just do it.
SAGITTARIUS
You’re going places, Sag. That much is certain. But maybe not just yet. There’s something you’re waiting for and on. Maybe money is the missing piece of this puzzle as the full Moon appears in your house of cash, finances and income. Then there’s what you may have to sign up to or agree to in order to get it. That’s Mars in your 10th. Some of you could be weighing this up. Take that well paid gig for now in order to fund that bucketlist dream later for instance.
Others could be looking at a stay or go choice. Walk away and relocate. Or continue where you’re at. Again, you may want to move on but need something to fall into place first. A job offer, the funds again or even a clear choice. That’s coming as you have your ruler Jupiter in your sector of power money and change. But for now you may be weighing up whether or not something is tenable. Or even worth your continued investment in it.
The other reason for you not moving just yet is of course, Mercury’s upcoming retrograde in Leo and your 9th of freedom, travel and opportunity. You can use this retrograde to refine those plans, research that project, idea or even area where you might want to move to, or yes, return to a sure thing that you know gets you where you want to go by providing the wherewithal to do so. And if so, don’t think of this as necessarily a retrograde step (pun intended!). Sometimes we simply need to step back into our past for a short time, to get a clear sight of where the future is about to take us.
CAPRICORN
What’s getting in your way in your relationship, Cappy? Or you forming one if you are single and seeking? And it may not be the most obvious thing that comes to mind. If you have felt distanced from your significant other – to step back and ask whether it’s them – or in fact, you? Have other priorities got in the way? Did you allow this to happen? There’s no blame here. And no need for guilt if you are now holding your hand up. What there is is a huge opportunity to make up for lost time thanks to the full Moon in your sign.
Of course, sometimes we can unwittingly get in our own way. Not just in love but in so many other ways. We lack the confidence to follow through on an offer or opportunity for instance. And we don’t want to admit that. Not to ourselves and certainly not to others! We come up with perfectly legitimate sounding excuses to rationalise this away. That date sounded a little too career-obsessed and you don’t need a workaholic. It would be better if they offered that promotion to a colleague as they deserve it more than you. You know what the title on that list is? Self Sabotage. And it’s sub-title reads ‘All By Myself’.
Someone is acting as a mirror for you with this full Moon. Showing you not only what they love about you. But what you don’t love and integrate about yourself. And no matter if it’s your other half, opposite number or opponent, see it as a loving act. Only those who truly care for us show us who we really are. This is what soul connection looks like. No hidden traps, Capricorn. Just love.
AQUARIUS
What next, Aquarius? More of the same? Or something different? No matter what – the stars only invite. They do not compel. And this includes ruler Uranus now in Gemini and your 5th. Making the full Moon in Capricorn and your 12th, the first to appear since its arrival.
Yes, you can therefore choose what remains the same. But also what you choose to let go of or consciously change now. You can gather elements of your past which work, add value or have proved themselves future-proof, and carry them forward with you. And just as consciously, release or drop other factors. Sustaining and maintaining that status quo may not now be possible however so do keep this in mind. This isn’t just Uranus at work. But this full Moon’s angle to Mars in your sector of change.
This full Moon can trigger old wounds or something you have simply slapped the proverbial Band-Aid on. That’s not working any more either now. This full Moon wants a response to the question: Are your needs being met? And then: Are you afraid to ask for what you really need? Especially from those closest to you.
There’s an element of Truth or Dare coming in. Especially if you do yearn for things to be different. It always boils down to us. And often simply that raw, candid and unutterably brave spiritual stand we take when we have the courage to share what’s really going on with us. And better to ask and find out than live in false hope. Or worse, cast someone in the role of the bad guy when actually all they are is clueless. Airing those feels is often the only thing we needed to do to set the change we really need in motion.
PISCES
Gatherings and groups feature under the full Moon in your 11th. And don’t forget the Sun and also old ruler Jupiter are on the other side of this axis in Cancer and your 5th. Throw in Mars turning up the heat in your 7th of partnerships. This is a chain reaction full Moon. And you are a key link in it.
For instance, you get invited somewhere and normally you wouldn’t go. But you don’t want to let down a friend. Or you are obliged to go because it’s a work thing and you can’t in fact say no. Then you get there and lock eyes with someone across the room. They turn out to be the love of your life. Or someone who has a pivotal role to play in your future. It’s the kind of not so random chance of super string theory that we are a part of. The domino effect of causality. This happens because of that and then that and so on.
To sum up – circulate under this full Moon. Connect. Have conversations and do start them. Do not refuse an invite. Even a last minute one. And issue a few of your own. And there is no FOMO, okay? Do not try to outwit the universe. It simply doesn’t work that way.
And whatever you do – no judging that book by its cover or its profession or status. People who have different interests can be friends. As can those who have different religious or political beliefs. There are many types of friendship. Not all of them have to be the Ride or Die variety for them to be meaningful. Or have a purpose in your life. This may not be the most powerful or important full Moon of the year for you, but it is a very good one under which to strengthen your place in the great cosmic chain connecting you to others. Or to repledge to those goals and dreams. One link, but a massive chain reaction could be set in motion if you do.
